Hapana, a global fitness and wellness platform, was boxed in on AWS slow releases, rising costs, and a mobile app that couldn’t keep up. Aviato moved them to a secure, Terraform-built Google Cloud foundation, rewired their mobile and CRM workflows, and handed the keys back to their team. The result: 99.999% SLA, faster deployments, 10 months of modernization journey instead of 2.5 years, and scales 0 to 10,000 containers in 10s.
Aviato helped with a strategic foundation and application build to transition the leading health and wellness provider from AWS to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), modernizing their mobile application infrastructure in the process.
Hapana health, wellness & fitness platform
Health, Wellness & Leisure
Deployment of a Google Cloud Foundation using Terraform (IaC) alongside custom engineering for CMS integration, CRM synchronization, and specialized IoT door controller support.
Established a secure, best practice GCP landing zone with automated deployment via Terraform. Successfully integrated Contentful CMS and deep linking solutions into the client's mobile app ecosystem. Developed a bidirectional automated pipeline between GCP and GoHighLevel CRM.
About the Client
Hapana is a major player in the fitness industry, managing a complex ecosystem that includes mobile applications, member management systems, and physical IoT hardware for facility access.
The Vision
Hapana was investing in the next generation of its platform to better support enterprise fitness operators, accelerate innovation, and build an AI-ready foundation for future product development. Migrating to Google Cloud became a strategic enabler of that vision.
Hapana runs a genuinely complex operation: mobile apps, member management, and physical IoT hardware controlling the doors at their customers’ facilities. All of it sat on AWS and that footprint had become the ceiling, not the floor.
They wanted off AWS for three reasons.
The catch: this wasn’t a lift-and-shift. Moving to GCP meant redesigning identity, networking, and the whole resource hierarchy from scratch. It meant stitching together a new CMS (Contentful), their CRM (GoHighLevel), and bespoke door-controller hardware none of which were built to talk to each other. And Hapana’s own team needed to come out the other side able to run the new environment themselves, not dependent on us forever.
Moving from AWS required a complete redesign of identity (IAM), networking, and resource hierarchy to align with Google’s best practices.
The project required bridging the gap between a new CMS (Contentful), a specific CRM (GoHighLevel), and specialized hardware (universal door controllers).
The client’s internal team required rapid enablement to manage the new cloud native environment and automated deployment pipelines effectively.
We utilized an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodology to build a Cloud Foundation while providing high touch engineering assistance to refactor code and mobile workflows.
Key Components:
This engagement successfully transitioned the client’s core infrastructure from AWS to a high performance Google Cloud environment, solving complex integration challenges along the way. By combining a robust Cloud Foundation with specialized engineering for mobile and CRM workflows, Aviato has not only modernized the client’s technology stack but also empowered their internal team with the skills and automated tools necessary to drive future innovation on GCP.
