Premier Partner, and Five Competencies to Go With It
Aviato Consulting has achieved Google Cloud Premier Partner status in the Services track. Alongside it, the firm now holds five Google Cloud competencies: Application Modernization, Artificial Intelligence, Financial Services, Gemini Enterprise, and Manufacturing & Industrial.

SYDNEY, Australia — Aviato Consulting, a specialist Google Cloud consultancy founded by former Google engineers, has achieved Google Cloud Premier Partner status in the Services track under the Google Cloud Partner Advantage programme, and holds five Google Cloud competencies.
The milestone follows a period of growth that has taken the team to over 130 people across three countries.
Tier and competencies measure different things, and the competencies are the harder of the two to earn. Tier reflects the scale and maturity of a partner’s practice. A competency is granted per solution area, against evidence: certified engineers on staff, and customer deployments Google reviews before awarding it. A partner can sit at a senior tier with one competency. Holding five means the delivery record was assessed five separate times.
The five
Application Modernization. Containerised architectures on Google Kubernetes Engine and Cloud Run, zero-downtime deployment pipelines, and the slow work of taking a monolith apart without an outage.
Artificial Intelligence. Production Vertex AI pipelines, custom Gemini implementations, and autonomous multi-agent systems built with the Agent Development Kit, including the evaluation harnesses that decide whether a model is safe to ship.
Financial Services. An industry competency rather than a technical one. It covers regulated workloads: APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230 landing zones, real-time fraud and AML scoring, and generative AI that stays inside a data residency boundary.
Gemini Enterprise. Conversational customer experience, workplace automation, and enterprise search grounded against BigQuery, Looker and Google Workspace rather than against the open web.
Manufacturing & Industrial. Edge-to-cloud IoT ingestion, real-time telemetry, predictive maintenance models, and automated visual quality inspection.
Three of those are horizontal and two are industry competencies, which is the combination that matters for regulated work. Knowing Vertex AI is not the same as knowing what an APRA-regulated client is allowed to send to it.
What Premier status changes for clients
Partner tiers are easy to dismiss as badge collecting. The part that matters to a client is what the tier unlocks operationally.
Premier partners get earlier access to Google Cloud product teams, which shortens the loop when an architecture depends on a service behaving a particular way at scale. They get escalation paths that skip the general support queue during a migration cutover. And they get earlier sight of reference architectures, which means less time spent discovering a constraint Google has already documented internally.
That is the difference between a migration plan built on public documentation and one built with the people who wrote the service. On a recent engagement, Aviato moved a global fitness platform’s workloads off AWS onto Google Cloud in 10 months against a 2.5-year internal estimate, with zero minutes of cutover downtime.
Depth on one platform, deliberately
Aviato only builds on Google Cloud, Claude and Wiz. That is a narrower position than most consultancies take, and it is the reason the firm can quote a fixed price and a fixed date without padding for unknowns. Two of its offers carry cash guarantees: migrate off AWS or off Snowflake onto Google Cloud, and if the migrated platform does not cut the run-rate by 20%, Aviato pays the client AUD $50,000.
The firm’s two founders spent 16 years between them at Google Cloud and remain across the architecture on live engagements.
The status follows a run of external recognition. Aviato was named a 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year for Australia and New Zealand, at Google Cloud Next ‘26 in Vegas. It placed sixth on the Australian Financial Review’s Fast Starters list for 2025, won the Pemba Capital Summit Award for Specialist IT Services in the same year, and has been named to a Great Place To Work Best Workplaces list in both 2025 and 2026.
