SYDNEY, NSW — Aviato Consulting has been named one of Australia’s Best Workplaces™ in Technology for 2026 by Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture. The recognition is based on confidential survey responses from our own team, assessed against the Trust Index™ framework rather than on anything we say about ourselves.
It is our second consecutive year on a Great Place To Work Best Workplaces™ list, following our place on the national Australian list in 2025, and we have renewed Certification for March 2026 to March 2027. Two years of independent recognition matters more to us than one, because it says the culture is a system rather than a good year.
Two years, and what changed between them
Aviato is a Google Cloud and Claude specialist consultancy. Our work is project-based and technically deep: cloud migrations, data platforms, and AI systems delivered directly alongside client engineering teams. That model only works if the engineers doing it are senior, trusted, and want to stay.

Why we think the results keep improving
Consulting cultures usually fail in the same place. The work happens on client sites, in client repos, in client stand-ups. A manager sees a status report; they do not see the engineer who stayed on a call to unblock a client’s platform team, or the one who quietly rewrote a fragile deployment so the next person would not inherit it. Over time, people conclude that the work that matters is the work that is visible to whoever writes their review.
We built a tool to close that gap. We call it Kudos.
Kudos
Kudos is an internal tool we built so that anyone at Aviato can thank anyone else. No approval, no manager in the loop, no nomination window. If a colleague helped you, unstuck you, or did something genuinely good, you say so, and the whole team sees it.
The point is not the thank you. The point is that recognition stops depending on whether a manager happened to be in the room. Kudos surfaces the work managers never see, which means the culture is described by the people doing the work rather than by the people reporting on it.
Three things follow from that.
Contribution is visible
Helping a colleague is not invisible overhead. It is recorded, in public, by the person who benefited from it.
Recognition is peer-led
Anyone can give it and anyone can receive it, regardless of seniority or which client they are billing to this month.
Leaders get better signal
Kudos gives us a view of who people actually rely on, which is a far better input to reviews and promotions than a status report.
The rest of the operating model
Kudos works because the surrounding conditions are real. Recognition alone does not hold a team together.

What it means for clients
A consultancy’s culture is not a soft topic for the people buying from it. Retention determines whether the engineer who designed your platform is still there when you extend the engagement. Trust determines whether someone raises a problem in week two or lets it surface in month four. Two consecutive years of independently assessed recognition is the closest external proxy we have for both.
